It's been a while since I posted but then we have been through a long time of fickle swell so I haven't had much material to work with.

Where's Macca? Enjoy the video

'We try to discipline our body moves so that no extra useless moves appear while riding - ever. This approach is similar to that of ballet dancers, or martial arts followers that fight the pain in order to make impossible moves real and clean. Hours are spent mastering the arms, the legs and the rest of the body motions in order to achieve total control of the board, which is just an extension of our body and shall not take over the riders.' Nils Degremont

Is this the route to ultimate style?

Here are some other, recently posted, good examples - one, two, three, four five, six

Click on the picture to the right for a few pictures from yesterday at Wrestles, Porthleven. We're keeping the cream for the next issue of Kneelo Mag so these are just a glimpse. From left to right Karl, Dunc, Alex all pictures are taken by Hannah. If you haven't seen it yet check out the video clip from 8th February linked in the entry below.

More Porthleven action today. There was a solid swell running in the icey offshores. I snapped a few shots of Karl before joining the fun. Click the picture on the right to see the gallery. For a short video clip click here.

Lately I've been thinking a lot about what's at the core of good kneeboard surfing. One thing you only see the best surfers do is lay their board fully on a rail. With a wide stance kneeboards lend themselves to full rail high g turns as demonstrated here by the master Simon Farrer documented by Robert O'toole . I think pictures speak louder than words and if you click on the pic to the right you'll see a few I've picked out. In my eyes this is the most stylish way to kneeboard.

It's all about commitment to the rail!
